Olivia
is the self-absorbed, independent older sister who has long ago
left the nest to make her mark in
When Olivia heads home to be with her sister and family, Maddie pushes her to be daring and do what it takes to get her film version of Don Quixote produced. As things with Don Quixote actually start to happen, Olivia is torn between being there for her sister and pursuing her dream of movie making. And to make things even more complicated, the “one who got away” has come back to be with her in her time of need. Split in three directions - her family, her career and the man she loves - Olivia does the best she can, flying across country and continents, making phone calls, and constantly writing letters to keep in touch. Many times things don’t go smoothly, but she makes a valiant effort to do it all well. She learns the hard way that some things you can control and some you cannot. Real life does not always give you the picture perfect Hollywood ending, but it’s important to let the ones you love know that you truly do love and appreciate them.
If you are lucky enough to have a sister, go give her a big hug. If she’s not in hugging distance, pick up the phone. She is precious, and chances are, she thinks you are too.
