The Frantic Woman's Guide to Life: A Year's Worth of Hints, Tips, and Tricks by Mary Jo Rulnick
We all know one of those "perfect" women. Perfectly
groomed, so are their children and they seem to do a million things at
once, perfectly. If you feel frazzled, and worlds away from
"perfect", this book is for you. Covering a wide range of
frantic-woman duties, including cleaning, cooking, car care, even romance,
this book introduces a way to de-frazzle one month at a time. January
you'll Organize. February you'll Connect. What's up for March?
See for yourself and change your life!

101 Things to Do With a Slow Cooker by Stephanie Ashcraft
You have to love your crock pot. You throw stuff in, and 6 hours later,
dinner is ready. But as much as I tried to incorporate it into my domestic
life (oh so glorious as it is) very few recipes inspired me. And the ones
that did required so much work, why use a crock pot at all? This collection
of "throw and go" recipes gives you the best of both worlds. We
tested the Broccoli-Cheese Soup. What a great way to get that daily
broccoli. Bon Appétit!

The Last-Minute Party Girl : Fashionable, Fearless, and Foolishly Simple Entertaining by Erika Lenkert
Entertaining-challenged? This book promises to make you feel like
Martha Stewart. The Last Minute Party Girl is full of ideas to make your
guests feel special. Foremost of which is the "Party
Manners" section which I guarantee even the most gracious host will
find something they are not doing. Impressive recipes are also in
generous supply in this book. One appetizer down and desperate on New
Year's Eve, I gave a shot to one of the "A-List Appetizers",
Wicked Good White Bean Dip. It was easy to prepare and delicious. Buy
this book, be fearless & and invite those people over you've been
wanting to entertain.

Hot
Chicken by Hugh Carpenter
If you
like it hot, your chicken that is, then this book is for you. Fifty dishes
sure to please by master chef Hugh Carpenter combined with wonderful
photography makes this one cookbook that's easy to use and fun to look
at. We even tested it in our own kitchen, and even for our
domestically challenged girlfriend, the Sizzling Rosemary-Mustard Chicken
was a hit.

Once upon a Tart: Soups, Salads, Muffins and More by Frank Mentesana and Jerome Audureau
Once
Upon A Tart is a charming cafe in New York's Soho where people line up in
the mornings waiting for their wonderful offerings. For us who don't
live there, this book is the next best thing. Girlfriend, I am not
much of a baker, but this book has inspired the domestic goddess in
me! (Isn't that what this category is all about?) I particularly love
the Quick Bread section, where my daughter and I created Carrot Cake
Muffins with Lemon Cream Cheese Icing. They insist their carrot cake
is better than anyones. We agree.
