There are few places in the world a girlfriend can have more fun than in NYC. And with a package name like the "Don't Be Desperate" package, how could you not have fun? Well, we had more fun that we ever imagined we would.
The Muse is a sophisticated gem tucked into a side street off of Times Square. After dropping off our luggage and admiring the large room, we called down to the Concierge to "have our car ready". (This is how the other half lives.) Then we had to decide where we wanted to go. Should we splurge both hours this afternoon? It was decided that we would use one hour now, and save the other hour to bring us to our show that evening.
Off we went, in our chauffeured car. Our stop: SoHo. We thought we would shop and eat our afternoon away. We stopped at one of the countless outdoor cafes for lunch, and a cocktail. Next, we strolled along SoHo, shopping. Our little town blues were melting away (and we live near Philadelphia). There is just a sense of excitement in New York City at any time of the day or night that is contagious.
Could the day get any better? Well, we certainly had no clue about what was to come.
We had never been to the All American Male Review. We really didn't know what to expect, and didn't spend alot of time wondering. But while waiting for our chauffeured car to take us to the chic Chelsea area of town, we sat in The Muse's bar and had our Dirty Secret Martinis.
The Great American Male Review is a club full of beautiful men. And they are very nice to you. Because "what happens at the Great American Male Review stays at the Great American Male Review", we won't go into detail. Let's just say, it is a night to remember, and its not for the faint of heart.
Of course the great thing about New York is that it never sleeps. So after leaving the club we were able to get a great meal at a diner, and then head back to The Muse for one of the most comfortable night's sleep we had ever had. Complete with very sweet dreams.
Is there anything more luxurious than being served breakfast in bed on silver plates? We felt spoiled and relaxed. We read the New York Times and planned more excursions to the Big Apple.
And then it was time to
pack up and leave The Muse, where we truly bonded in friendship
and created wonderful memories. The Don't Be Desperate
